Hi, So I partially introduced myself in another topic, "Any Suggestions", but I felt I should do the proper thing. So. I am managirln. I have had 8 hamsters including my current 3. First there was Lilly, a dalmatian syrian hamster who I had for about 3-3.5 years, who I got at 6 months of age. Second I adopted Holly from a shelter, she was older when I got her, probably around 3 years old. She was a typical golden syrian. She lived about 4-6 months with me. Thirdly there was Pebbles, an entirely black syrian with just a speck of white on her chest. I don't know what age she was when I got her but she lived between 6 months and a year. Fourth there were Fred and George, two roborovski hamsters who I wish I had taken better care of. They were fairly "young" when I got them but I think they may have been a lot older than they said because I kept up to date on their feeding and watering and everything but the first one George, I think, died a few months after I got him and Fred died about 6-7 months after I got him. I did do a fair bit of research on them but they are definately the most difficult to handle hamsters and I was obviously not very patient because they just didn't seem to like me. Now I have three syrians, two very black and white ones and one mostly black with white on the chest (kind of like Pebbles). Who are very sweet, they are 8 weeks old and at the moment are still getting along. I hope it lasts.
I also have two dogs, a brown and white border collie sheltie mix called Dusty; and an overgrown purebred sheltie called Dougall. I have 2 birds and a turtle also.
